OLWEUS BULLYING PROGRAM

A research-based program that uses a community-wide approach to the prevention of bullying through normative changes, empowering bystanders, and school policies. Olweus is currently in place in Bensalem elementary and middle schools.

SMOKE-FREE PLAYING FIELDS

Bucks Youth Against Tobacco, Valley AA, B3T Youth Committee and Bensalem Parks/Recreation Board

Youth-driven efforts to have athletic associations voluntarily agree to make fields smoke-free when young athletes are playing. BYAT partnered with XSITE youth to enact a smoke free ordinance in Bensalem Township in 2008 with the support of Mayor DiGirolamo and Bensalem Council.
